Pooled Money Fund
The Treasurer’s Office achieved historic investment earningsthrough prudent, transparent management of state and local government funds.

ISave 529 College Savings Plan
The Treasurer’s Office modernized Iowa’s 529 college savings program to reflect changing education pathways while strengthening incentives for families to save.
- Program Rebrand (2024):
College Savings Iowa was rebranded to ISave 529 to better reflect that 529 accounts support more than a traditional four-year degree, including workforce training and alternative education pathways. - Historic Tax Deduction Update:
Updated the state tax deduction for the first time in 20 years, increasing it to $5,500 per account, expanding access and incentives for Iowa families. - Investment & Fee Improvements:
Continued adjustments to investment options and lowered fees to ensure access to high-quality, professionally managed investments at an affordable cost.
IAble (Achieving a Better Life Experience) Program
The Treasurer’s Office strengthened financial accessibility for Iowans with disabilities.
- Fees reduced for 5 of 7 investment options
- New fees are lower than previous record-low levels set in 2022
